This flag hit me differently.
Handcrafted for a proud family with one son in the United States Marine Corps and the other serving in the United States Navy — this one wasn’t just another custom piece. As a veteran myself, having served in the Navy, this project brought back a flood of memories. I couldn’t help but think about my own parents — the pride in their eyes when I wore that uniform. That feeling never leaves you.
Creating this flag was emotional. Every star, stripe, and emblem carve was done with the respect and reverence these two young men deserve. I know what it means to serve, and I know what it means to love someone who serves. This flag carries all of that.
